diy valentino leather bow bracelet

The inspiration for this DIY comes from Valentino's Leather Bow Bracelet. I love the combination of the girly bow and the tough black leather. This project requires some basic sewing skills. If it seems too complicated you could also use a pre-made leather cuff from the craft store and glue the bow on instead of sewing it.
  • Leather
  • Leather needle & Thread
  • Snaps
[Cut the leather into a rectangle that measures 8 1/4 inches long and 5 inches high. This will fit a small wrist. Fold the leather over length wise and stitch together at the edges and across the top. Leave a section open so you can turn the leather right side out]
[Turn leather right side out]
[Measure around your wrist where the bracelet should close. Mark off and then attach snaps]
[To make the bow-cut a piece of leather that measures 5 1/2 inches wide by 4 3/4 inches high. Fold over length wise and stitch around the edges and top. Leave a section open so you can turn the leather right side out]
[Turn right side out]
[To make the tab for the bow- cut a piece of leather that measures 3 inches long and 1 3/4 inches wide. Turn the edges in on the length wise side, fold over and stitch down to hide the raw edges]
[Sew the tab around the middle of the bow. Cut off end of tab]
[Sew the middle and sides of the bow down on to the bracelet]
