diy braided headband [knitting pattern]

4:38 PM

I wanted to create a knitted headband that was colorful and that had a retro ski lodge feel. This headband keeps your ears warm and as a added bonus it keeps hair out of your face.  This project is a great way to use up scrap yarn!

Size US 8 needles and 3 different colors of sport yarn
Pattern-
With the 1st color, cast on 10 stitches. Work in Rib Stitch (Knit 2, Purl 2) for 21 inches. Bind off.
Repeat with the other 2 colors of yarn.
Lie flat and braid together. Using a yarn needle, sew ends together.

  6. I wonder if I could make this using a provisional cast on. That way there would not be a seamed section. Has anyone tried this?
