diy suede cut out sweater

The cut out trend is still going strong for spring. Personally, I love it! Today I'm going to show you a really easy way to makeover a plain sweater. I included both a "sew" and "no sew" options in the directions below.

Supplies-
  • Old crewneck sweater (light/medium weight is best- mine is acrylic)
  • Suede
  • Fabric glue
[Cut a petal out of the suede- mine measured 7 inches long and 3 1/2 inches wide. Use this as a template and cut out another 2]
[Cut out the inside of the petals. Leave approximately 3/4" as a border]
[Arrange the shapes at the top of the sweater. Add a very thin line of glue around the middle border of the cut outs. This is to hold the cut outs down while you sew. NO SEW METHOD- entirely glue down the cut outs]
[SEW METHOD- stitch around the inner and outer boarder of the cut outs]
[Cut out the sweater fabric in the inside of the cut outs]
