DIY fringe leather clutch

It's no secret that I love fringe, especially on handbags! I came across this red leather jacket at a thrift store recently and I knew it was destined to be a bag.
Supplies-
  • Leather 1/4 yard
  • Heavy duty interfacing
  • Zipper [10 inch]
  • Cotton 1/4 yard
[Cut the leather into rectangles that measure 8 X 11 inches. Attach the interfacing to the wrong sides]
[Stitch the sides together at the bottom]
[Cut the leather fringe approximately 8 inches long. Sew in between the sides of the bag]
[Turn bag right side out]
[Cut the cotton into rectangles that measure 8 X 11 inches. Attach the interfacing to the wrong sides. Sew together a the bottom and sides]
[Take a piece of leather that's 8 inches long, fold over the edges and sew down. This will be the wrist strap]
[Sew the wrist strap at the edge of the bag. Sew the zipper to the leather first and then hand sew the lining to the zipper]
