Polymer clay is really fun to work with and you can achieve beautiful patterns by blending the colors together. These earring have the appearance of stone but the clay makes them much more lightweight.

Supplies-
  • Polymer clay (1 pack translucent, 1 pack dark brown, 1 pack bronze)
  • X-Acto knife
  • Earring hooks
  • 2 chains that measure each 3 1/4 inches long
  • Jump rings
  • Jewelry pliers
[Take 1/2 of the brown and translucent packs and the whole bronze pack and roll them into balls]
[Combine the 3 balls and work them into a log shape]
[Thinly roll the clay out]
[Cut a piece of cardboard that measures 1/2 inch wide and 1 1/4" inches high. This will be your template]
[Using an Xacto knife an the cardboard, cut out the shape in the clay. Poke a hole through the top. You will need 20 total- 10 for each earring. Bake clay according to the instructions on the package]
[Attach the chain to the earring hook using a jump ring]
