DIY Captured Crystal Necklace
This wrapped technique is a really easy and inexpensive way to turn loose crystals into pendants. It will work with any stone that's long and thin. The wrapped wire is minimal and it lets the stone take center stage.
Supplies
Crystal
Bendable jewelry wire
Jump rings
Lobster clasp
Chain necklace
Jewelry pliers
DIY Captured Crystal Necklace
Cut 4 inches of wire and thread a jump ring on to it.
DIY Captured Crystal Necklace
Wrap the wire around one side of the crystal.
DIY Captured Crystal Necklace
Wrap the wire around the other end of the crystal. The jump ring will be in the middle. Cut off any ends of the wire that remain. You can also secure the crystal to the wire with a little bit of Crazy Glue.
DIY Captured Crystal Necklace
Cut a 14 inch chain and thread through the jump ring.
DIY Captured Crystal Necklace
Attach the lobster clasp with a jump ring and add a jump ring to the other end of the necklace using the jewelry pliers.
